steak & onions
This became one of my family's favorite meals from the first time I made it! I served it with a batch of mashed potatoes and the rest is history!

Ingredients For steak & onions

1 1/2 lbsirloin steak (i prefer london broil or filet)

3 Tbspflour

1 1/2 tspsalt

1/4 tsppepper
-
1 tsppaprika
-
1 tspdry mustard
-
1/2 cbutter
-
2 clovegarlic, minced
-
1/2 lbvidalia or sweet onion, sliced thinly

1 1/2 cbeef bouillon
-
1 Tbspketchup
-
1 tspworcestershire sauce
-
1/2 csour cream
How To Make steak & onions

1Trim excess fat from meat. Cut meat into THIN strips.

2Combine flour, salt, pepper, paprika and mustard in a large zipper bag or large bowl, mix well. Add steak strips to flour mixture and shake to coat steak.

3Melt 1/3 of the butter in large heavy skillet. Add garlic, saute until golden brown. Remove from pan and set aside.

4Melt 1/3 more butter. Saute onions until tender but not brown, 6-10 minutes. Remove and set aside.

5Heat remaining butter, saute steak strips until browned. Add bouillon, garlic and onions.

6Stir to dissolve browned bits in skillet. Simmer, uncovered, 15-20 minutes, until meat is tender and mixture is thickened, stirring occasionally.

7Add ketchup, Worcestershire sauce and sour cream. Heat until just warm.

8Serve over mashed potatoes or egg noodles. Enjoy!
