Ingredients For casserole of lamb, lemon, and wine

    lamb shoulder steaks with bone
  • coarse salt
  • 10
    peppercorns, crushed
  • 4 md
    onions, sliced
  • 2 sm
    lemons, thinly sliced
  • 4 clove
    garlic, crushed
  • 1/4 c
    fresh cilantro leaves
  • 1 1/2 c
    dry white wine
  • 1 c
    water
  • 1/4 c
    spanish olive oil

How To Make casserole of lamb, lemon, and wine

    Rub meat with mixture of salt and pepper.

    Layer onions, lamb, and lemon in large casserole.

    Sprinkle with garlic and cilantro.

    Add wine, water, and olive oil.

    Bake, covered, at 300° for 2 hours.
