Ingredients For tangy tomato sauce with shrimp & acini de pepe

  • 1 1/2 c
    v8 juice
  • 4 c
    chicken broth or water with lobster base
  • 1
    envelope dry onion soup mix
  • 1/4 c
    lemon juice
  • 1/2 c
    each diced celery and red onion
  • 1/4 c
    sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    crystal hot sauce
  • 12 oz
    box of acini de pepe pasta
  • 1 lb
    shrimp peeled and deviened
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • cilantro for garnish

How To Make tangy tomato sauce with shrimp & acini de pepe

    Mix the first 7 ingredients together and place in the fridge to let flavors meld overnight.

    Place the tomato mixture in a pot. Bring to a boil. Add the acini de pepe. Lower heat to a simmer. Simmer about 15 minutes. Add the shrimp and simmer for another 5 minutes. Taste and season with salt and pepper. Garnish with cilantro
