Ingredients For stir fried hoisin shrimp

  • 2 lb
    medium shrimp peeled deveined and butterflied
  • MARINADE
  • 3 Tbsp
    rice wine or saki
  • 2 Tbsp
    minced fresh ginger
  • 2 Tbsp
    scallions chopped
  • 1 tsp
    sesame oil
  • SAUCE
  • 1/4 c
    hoisin sauce
  • 3 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 3 Tbsp
    rice wine or sake
  • 1 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 1/3 c
    water
  • STIR FRY
  • 1 Tbsp
    peanut oil
  • 1 Tbsp
    minced garlic
  • scallions for garnish

How To Make stir fried hoisin shrimp

  • 1
    Mix the marinade together and add the shrimp. Marinade for at least 20 minutes. Remove shrimp and discard the marinade. Mix the sauce ingredients together and set aside.

    Place the peanut oil in a skillet. Add the garlic and cook 15 second. Add the sauce and heat to boiling. Add the shrimp and toss to coat with sauce.

    Heat uncovered for 3 minutes. Serve garnished with scallions.
