This was my dear friend Terri Carter's recipe. I changed it a little to suit my tastes.

Ingredients For shrimp creole

1 lbraw shrimp, peeled and deveined

1/3 colive oil

1/4 call purpose flour
-
1 chot water
-
1/2 cchopped onion
-
1/2 cchopped celery
-
1/4 cchopped green bell pepper
-
1 tspgarlic salt
-
1/4 tspthyme
-
1/4 tspcayenne
-
8 oztomato sauce
-
1bay leaf
-
1/8 tsppepper
-
4 ccooked rice
-
1/2 tsplemon juice
How To Make shrimp creole

1Heat oil in skillet over medium high heat.

2Blend in flour, stirring constantly until lightly browned.

3Add water gradually. Cook stirring constantly until thickened.

4Add onion, bell pepper and celery and cook 2 minutes.

5Add remaining ingredients except shrimp and rice. Cover and cook for 15 minutes.

6Add shrimp and cook an additional 5 to 7 minutes until shrimp is done.

7Remove bay leaf.

8Serve over the hot cooked rice.
