Ingredients For shrimp creole

  • 2/3 c
    onion, chopped
  • 1/2 c
    green pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 c
    celery, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1 can
    (28 ounces) can tomatoes
  • 1 can
    (8 ounces) tomato sauce
  • 2
    cloves garlic, minced
  • 2
    bay leaves
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper
  • 1/2 tsp
    oregano
  • celery salt to taste
  • 1-1/2 lb
    shrimp, cooked

How To Make shrimp creole

  • 1
    Saute onions, green pepper and celery in butter. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, and seasonings and simmer for 40 minutes. Add cooked shrimp just before serving.

    Serve over rice. Chicken and pork chops are delicious when baked in this sauce at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
