Ingredients For seared scallops with lemon chive sauce

  • LEMON CHIVE SAUCE
  • juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 1/2 c
    dry white wine
  • 2 slice
    ginger
  • 1 tsp
    sugar
  • 2 tsp
    cornstarch
  • 1 Tbsp
    water
  • 2 Tbsp
    chives chopped
  • SCALLOPS
  • 8 lg
    scallops patted dry
  • salt and pepper
  • 1/4 c
    butter

How To Make seared scallops with lemon chive sauce

    To make the sauce. Add the lemon juice, wine, ginger and sugar in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Turn heat to low and simmer 4 minutes. Remove and discard the ginger Mix the cornstarch and water together. Bring the sauce back to a boil and whisk in the cornstarch mixture until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in the chives. Set aside.

    Pat the scallops dry and season with salt and pepper. Add the butter to a skillet and once melted and hot. Add the scall.ps and sear for 4 minutes per side
