2 clovebaked garlic, smashed

1/4 tspsalt, kosher variety

1/4 tsphungarian paprika

1/4 tspwhite pepper, freshly ground

1 pinchcayenne pepper

1/2 lblarge fresh shrimp, shells removed, and deveined

2 Tbsplemon juice, freshly squeezed

2A good heavy-bottom pan is perfect for this recipe. My recommendation would be cast iron.

3Gather your Ingredients (mise en place).

4Add the butter, oil, and smashed garlic to a pan over high heat, and stir to combine.

5When it comes to heat, add the shrimp.

6Mix the salt, paprika, white pepper, and cayenne together, and sprinkle on the shrimp.

7Keep the pan active, by stirring and flipping the shrimp.

8Take off the heat, when the shrimp begin to brown, about 3 – 5 minutes, and then add the lemon juice.

9PLATE/PRESENT

10Place on a bed of arugula, drizzle with some of the pan sauce, and sprinkle with parmesan, if using. Enjoy.
