Ingredients For scallops with salsa verde

  • SALSA VERDE
  • 1 sm
    shallot, diced small
  • 2 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 c
    mixed herbs (I used basil and cilantro)
  • 1/2 c
    olive oil
  • SCALLOPS
  • 6 lg
    sea scallops
  • oil
  • salt and pepper

How To Make scallops with salsa verde

  • 1
    To make the salsa verde, mix the shallot with the lemon juice and set aside for 5 minutes. Mix in the remaining ingredients. Set aside to left the flavors meld.

    Pat the scallops dry and season with salt and pepper. Heat the oil in a nonstick skillet. Sear the scallops about 3 minutes each side until browned well.

    Serve the scallops with the salsa verde.
