Ingredients For scalloped oysters

  • 1 qt
    shucked maryland standard oysters with liquor
  • 3 c
    coarsely crushed fresh crackers (use big oyster crackers or water biscuits)
  • 1 stick
    margarine or butter
  • 2 c
    milk
  • salt and pepper

How To Make scalloped oysters

  • 1
    In a greased 2-quart casserole, place alternate layers of oysters and crackers, doting with butter and sprinkling with salt and pepper. End with a layer of crumbs.

    Add milk until liquid almost reaches top of casserole. Dot with remaining butter. Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees F for 45-60 minutes until browned.
