I don't like fish as a general rule, but I can eat these... This is not an original recipe of mine and I do not remember where I got it or if after I got it I modified it... :(

Ingredients For salmon cakes

  • 1 can
    pink salmon
  • 1/4 c
    onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 c
    flour
  • 1 lg
    egg, beaten
  • 3 Tbsp
    mayonnaise
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • oil for frying

How To Make salmon cakes

  • 1
    Drain and remove bones from salmon
  • 2
    mix all ingredients and form into 2" patties (refrigerating for 30 minutes will help patties hold together while cooking).

    Fry in oil on medium high heat until browned on each side (about 4-5 minutes per side or deep fry 3-5 minutes.
