Ingredients For rum-glazed shrimp

2 1/2 lbfresh shrimp, large (peeled with tails intact)

6 Tbsprum (gold preferred)

2 Tbspfresh lemon or lime juice

2 Tbspvegetable oil or olive oil

3 clovegarlic, minced

1/4 tspblack pepper
-
1/4 tspsalt
-
1/4 cpacked dark brown sugar

1 Tbspcider vinegar
How To Make rum-glazed shrimp

1Peel shrimp, leaving tails intact. Place shrimp in a bowl with 4 tbsp. rum along with lemon or lime juice, oil, garlic, salt, pepper; toss to coat thoroughly. Cover and marinate in the fridge for up to 1 hour.

2Combine brown sugar, vinegar, and remaining 2 tbsp. rum. Thread shrimp onto skewers and lightly brush with brown sugar glaze.

3Grill over medium hot fire, brushing with additional glaze until shrimp are opaque, about 3 minutes on each side or until done.
