Ingredients For linguine with red clam sauce

  • 4 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 2 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 4 can
    (6 1/2 oz.) chopped clams, undrained
  • 2 can
    (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 can
    (6 oz.) tomato paste
  • 4 Tbsp
    fresh chopped parsley
  • 1 sm
    chopped onion
  • 2 Tbsp
    grated fresh parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp
    dried, whole basil
  • 1 tsp
    dried, whole oregano
  • 1/4 tsp
    ground black pepper
  • dash of red pepper
  • 1 box
    (16 oz.) linguine, cooked
  • grated parmesan cheese

How To Make linguine with red clam sauce

    Coat a skillet with olive oil; heat over medium-high heat until hot. Add garlic and saute 2 minutes.

    Drain clams, reserving juice from 2 cans. Add reserved juice to garlic; set clams aside.

    Add tomato sauce, onion, and 2 Tbsp. parmesan cheese, and seasonings to skillet. Simmer uncovered for 30 minutes. Stir in clams and cook until clam sauce is thoroughly heated.

    Ladle clam sauce over linguine. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Yield 4 servings.
