Ingredients For linguine with red clam sauce

4 Tbspolive oil

2 clovegarlic, minced

4 can(6 1/2 oz.) chopped clams, undrained

2 can(15 oz.) can tomato sauce

1 can(6 oz.) tomato paste

4 Tbspfresh chopped parsley

1 smchopped onion
-
2 Tbspgrated fresh parmesan cheese

1 tspdried, whole basil
-
1 tspdried, whole oregano
-
1/4 tspground black pepper
-
dash of red pepper

1 box(16 oz.) linguine, cooked

grated parmesan cheese
How To Make linguine with red clam sauce

1Coat a skillet with olive oil; heat over medium-high heat until hot. Add garlic and saute 2 minutes.

2Drain clams, reserving juice from 2 cans. Add reserved juice to garlic; set clams aside.

3Add tomato sauce, onion, and 2 Tbsp. parmesan cheese, and seasonings to skillet. Simmer uncovered for 30 minutes. Stir in clams and cook until clam sauce is thoroughly heated.

4Ladle clam sauce over linguine. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Yield 4 servings.
