- FOR THE MARINADE

1/4 cwhole milk plain yogurt

2 tspeach ground cumin, smoked paprika, garam masala, salt and lime juice

1 tspgrated ginger

1 clovegarlic minced
-
2 lbshrimp peeled and deveined
- SAUCE

6 Tbspbutter
-
2 smshallots chopped

3 clovegarlic minced

3 Tbspbrown sugar

28 ozcrushed tomatoes

1 cheavy cream
-
1 tspgrated lime zest

How To Make instant pot butter shrimp

1In a bowl mix the yogurt, cumin, paprika, garam masal, lime juice, salt, ginger and garlic. Add the shrimp and marinate for 1 hour.

2In the instant pot pick saute and add 3 tbsp of butter. Add the shallots, garlic and ginger and saute 5 minutes. Stir in the brown sugar. cook one more minute.

3Add the crushed tomatoes and heavy cream. Bring to a boil then add lid and pressure cook 8 minutes. Quick release

4Remove the lid and pick saute low and saute for 7 minutes until thickened. add the shrimp with the marinade, lime zest and remaining butter. Cook 5 more minutes.

5Serve over rice.
