Ingredients For garlic lemongrass shrimp

  • 1 can
    sprite
  • 2 Tbsp
    canola oil
  • 2 Tbsp
    minced garlic
  • 1 stalk
    lemongrass
  • 1 tsp
    sambal olek
  • 1 Tbsp
    fish sauce
  • 1 Tbsp
    butter

How To Make garlic lemongrass shrimp

    Combine the Sprite and shrimp and marinate at least 1 hour.
  • 2
    Trim the lemongrass and mince the tender insides keep the outer tougher edges for the sauce flavoring.

    Add the oil to large skillet. Add the garlic, sambal olek and minced lemongrass. Cook 30 seconds. Add the shrimp and Sprite marinade. Cook just until shrimp turns pink.

    Remove the shrimp with a slotted spoon and transfer to a serving plate. Keep warm. Bring the sauce to a boil adding the tough lemongrass stalk. Cook until reduced by half and thickened. Remove the lemongrass stalk with slotted spoon and discard. Serve the sauce over the shrimp
