How To Make fried panko shrimp

  • 1
    Gather ingredients.
  • 2
    Rinse and drain thawed shrimp.
  • 3
To a zipper type bag, add panko crumbs, flour, seafood seasoning, seasoned salt and salt; zip bag closed and shake well to combine dry ingredients. Set aside.
  • 4
Add shrimp to bowl with egg whites, stirring to thoroughly coat.
  • 5
Add enough oil to your favorite fryer/dutch oven, etc... to allow shrimp to float a bit as it cooks. Heat oil to about 325 degrees F.
  • 6
Working in batches, add about 1/4 to 1/3 of the shrimp to the bag containing panko mixture; shake to coat shrimp.
  • 7
Quickly add shrimp to hot oil. Fry for approximately 2 minutes until golden brown, turning at least once.
  • 8
Use a spider or large slotted spoon to remove to paper toweling; repeat breading and frying in batches.
  • 9
Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauces.
  • 10
Discard any remaining breading mixture and egg whites.
