These shrimp are so good and so easy to make! The breading is crunchy and light, and seasoned just right. Perfect as either a main course or as an hors d'oeuvre at your next cocktail party, they're guaranteed to disappear quickly!

Ingredients For fried panko shrimp

1 lbraw medium shrimp, peeled & deveined, thawed

1 1/2 cpanko bread crumbs, plain

1 call purpose flour
-
1 tsplouisiana brand seafood seasoning (or your favorite)

1/2 tsplawry's seasoned salt (or your fave)

1/4 tspsalt
-
5 lgegg whites, lightly beaten
-
cooking oil for frying
How To Make fried panko shrimp

1Gather ingredients.

2Rinse and drain thawed shrimp.

3To a zipper type bag, add panko crumbs, flour, seafood seasoning, seasoned salt and salt; zip bag closed and shake well to combine dry ingredients. Set aside.

4Add shrimp to bowl with egg whites, stirring to thoroughly coat.

5Add enough oil to your favorite fryer/dutch oven, etc... to allow shrimp to float a bit as it cooks. Heat oil to about 325 degrees F.

6Working in batches, add about 1/4 to 1/3 of the shrimp to the bag containing panko mixture; shake to coat shrimp.

7Quickly add shrimp to hot oil. Fry for approximately 2 minutes until golden brown, turning at least once.

8Use a spider or large slotted spoon to remove to paper toweling; repeat breading and frying in batches.

9Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauces.

10Discard any remaining breading mixture and egg whites.
