Ingredients For fried calamari with horseradish dipping sauce

1 lbcalamari cut into rings tentacles left whole

juice of 1 lemon

2 cflour
-
1 tspeach salt and garlic powder

1 tspsweet paprika

1/2 cbuttermilk
-
oil for frying
- DIPPING SAUCE

1 cketchup
-
1/4 cprepared horseradish
How To Make fried calamari with horseradish dipping sauce

1Mix the ingredients for the dipping sauce together and set aside in the fridge. Place the calamari in a bowl and squeeze the lemon juice over it mixing with fingers to coat. Let marinate while getting the oil hot

2Mix the spices with the flour. Place the flour mixture into two separate bowls

3Add buttermilk to a third bowl. Bring the oil to 375 degrees.

4Dredge the calamari in flour shaking off excess. Then into the buttermilk then into the flour again.

5Deep fry in batches for about 2 or 3 minutes. Don't fry to long or they will become rubbery. Serve with dipping sauce.
