Ingredients For favorite tuna patties by maggie

  • 1 can
    (5 oz can) tuna - water or oil packed
  • 1 Tbsp
    green onion finely chopped
  • 1 Tbsp
    finely chopped celery
  • 2 tsp
    dill weed
  • 1
    large egg white
  • 1 tsp
    lemon juice
  • 1/8 c
    shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/8 c
    shredded pepper jack cheese
  • 1/4 c
    cracker crumbs - from cheddar crackers gives a nice flavor
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • salt and pepper to taste

How To Make favorite tuna patties by maggie

  • 1
    Mix all ingredients except butter, salt and pepper.

    Form into 4 small patties or 2 larger patties.

    This mixture will be loose.

    Place in fridge and chill for at least 30 minutes.

    Melt butter in skillet then add patties.

    Cook for about 2 or 3 minutes or until golden on each side.

    Serve on a toasted bun with lettuce and tartar sauce.
