Ingredients For creamy orzo with shrimp, peas and parmesan

  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1 md
    onion, chopped
  • 4 clove
    garlic, minced
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste
  • 1 c
    orzo
  • 1/4 c
    white wine
  • 4 c
    chicken or seafood stock
  • 1/2 c
    peas, thawed if frozen
  • 1/2 lb
    shrimp, peeled, deveined cut into 1 inch pieces
  • 1/2 c
    fresh grated Parmesan, plus more for garnish

How To Make creamy orzo with shrimp, peas and parmesan

    Melt the butter in a large skillet. Add the onion and garlic and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 3 minutes. Add or orzo and cook for another minutes. Add the wine and let most evaporate.

    Pour in the stock and bring to a boil cook about 15 minutes. Add the peas and shrimp and cook 5 more minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the Parmesan cheese until it's melted. Taste and adjust for seasoning. Serve with more grated Parmesan cheese
