Ingredients For cilantro lime butter scallops

  • 16 lg
    sea scallops
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 3 Tbsp
    butter
  • 4 clove
    garlic minced
  • 1/2 c
    seafood or lobster stock
  • 1/4 c
    lime juice
  • 4 Tbsp
    honey
  • fresh cilantro for garnish

How To Make cilantro lime butter scallops

  • 1
    Season the scallops with salt and pepper. Add olive oil to a large skillet. Sear the scallops until browned. Remove to a plate and set aside.

    Add the butter to the skillet. Add the garlic and cook 1 minute. Add the stock, lime juice honey and cilantro. Bring to a boil and let reduce a bit.

    Add the scallops back to the pan for 30 seconds basting with the sauce. Serve immediately.
