This was my Mom's recipe. It is rich and delicious and a real comfort food with all of the benefits of spinach. what more could you want?

Ingredients For spinach pie

  • 1 pkg
    pie pastry, prepared top and bottom
  • 3 box
    frozen, chopped spinach, (thawed and drained)
  • 1 Tbsp
    chopped garlic
  • 8 oz
    (or more) shredded cheese
  • 1
    small can black olives chopped
  • 3/4 c
    green olives chopped
  • diced pepperoni, ham, cooked sausage or salami (these are the meats that i have tried, but you can use whatever you like)
  • 3/4 c
    parmesan cheese

How To Make spinach pie

  • 1
    Place the bottom pie crust in a deep casserole dish.
  • 2
    Mix all of the other ingredients in a large bowl and put on top of the pie crust. Top with the second pie crust and seal the edges by pinching together.

    Cut a few steam holes in the top crust.
  • 4
    Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
