I had a couple of steaks in the freezer and some onion buns I needed to use so I decided to put them together. This made a terrific sandwich!

Ingredients For steak sandwich

  • 4
    delmonico steaks
  • 4
    onion buns
  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • garlic powder to taste
  • 4 slice
    cheddar cheese
  • leaf lettuce (optional)
  • sliced tomato (optional)
  • sliced onion (optional)

How To Make steak sandwich

  • 1
    heat butter and oil over high heat.
  • 2
    when pan is hot and butter is melted, add steaks. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Cook on over high heat for 5 minutes. Flip and sprinkle with salt, pepper and garlic powder and lay a slice of cheddar cheese on top. Cook 5 minutes longer.

    Serve steak on toasted bun with lettuce, tomato, and onion.
