Ingredients For spiced salmon sandwich with pickle aioli

  • PICKLE AIOLI
  • 1 c
    mayonnaise
  • 1 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1 sm
    shallot, chopped
  • 1/2 c
    drained dill pickle slices
  • SPICED SALMON
  • 2 tsp
    smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp
    chipotle chili powder
  • 1 tsp
    cumin
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 2 tsp
    wondra flour
  • 2
    skinless salmon filets (4 oz each)
  • 2 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • FOR SERVING
  • 2
    hoagie buns, split and toasted
  • 1/2 c
    microgreens

How To Make spiced salmon sandwich with pickle aioli

    To make the aioli, place the ingredients in a food processor and process until well blended. Set aside in fridge to meld flavors.

    To make the salmon, mix the spices together with the flour. Rub all over the salmon and let sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.

    Add oil to a cast iron skillet. once shimmering, add the salmon and cook undisturbed for 6 minutes. Turn and cook on the other side for 5 more minutes. All depending on how thick your salmon is.

    Spread aioli on the top bun of sandwich. Top with microgreens and place the fish on the bottom bun and put it together. Enjoy.
