Ingredients For open face cheddar and apple butter sandwich

  • 6 slice
    1/2 inch thick country white bread
  • 2 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 6 Tbsp
    apple butter
  • 4 Tbsp
    dijon mustard
  • 1 lb
    black forest ham
  • 12 oz
    extra sharp white cheddar cheese thinly sliced
  • fresh chives chopped for garnish

How To Make open face cheddar and apple butter sandwich

  • 1
    Preheat broiler. Brush the bread with olive oil on one side. Broil for 2 minutes until the bread is toasted.

    Remove from broiler Spread each slices of bread with apple butter then mustard.

    Top with ham and then cheese. Broil until cheese melts. Top with chives and serve open faced.
