Ingredients For omg sandwich

  • 1 lb
    thin sliced chicken breasts or boneless thigh meat
  • 2 Tbsp
    dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tsp
    fresh cracked pepper and salt
  • 1 lg
    sweet onion thin sliced
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 4 Tbsp
    fig preserves
  • 4 oz
    cambozola cheese
  • 2 Tbsp
    light brown sugar
  • 1 bunch
    fresh basil leaves
  • 1
    loaf of ciabatta or crusty bread sliced lengthwise

How To Make omg sandwich

  • 1
    pound and season the chicken with garlic salt and pepper, coat with dijon mustard and sauté in hot pan or grill pan or on your grill. When done, set aside until your sandwich assembly. in the same pan add thin sliced onions and cook till tender and lightly caramelized.Add 2 tsp balsamic vinegar and let it sizzle and cook for 1 more minute. Turn off heat and set aside.

    Brush Bread with oil and coat bottom and top with remaining mustard and a thick coat of the fig preserves.put chicken on bottom,then Prosciutto, cheese, basil leaves and then onions, top with other piece of bread.heat your grill, grill pan or skillet and and cook on both sides till brown and crusty! you can also use a press!
