john’s crab salad

This salad is great alone, with lettuce & greens as a larger salad, on crackers as a canapé/appetizer, or on Kaiser rolls as a sandwich.

Ingredients For john’s crab salad

  • 1 lb
    imitation crabmeat
  • 1
    shallot, minced (or you can use red onion)
  • 1/3 c
    mayonnaise
  • 3 Tbsp
    sour cream
  • 1/2 c
    celery, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp
    smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp
    dill, dried
  • 1/2 tsp
    celery seed
  • 1/2
    lemon, zested
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    black pepper

How To Make john’s crab salad

  • 1
    Add crabmeat to a large bowl & flake with a fork
  • 2
    Add the remaining ingredients & gently stir until well coated.

    Refrigerate for an hour or overnight before serving.
