Ingredients For beer cheeseburger hand pies

  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 3 clove
    garlic minced
  • 1 sm
    onion minced
  • 1/4 c
    beer i used coors light
  • 3 Tbsp
    ketchup
  • 2 Tbsp
    relish
  • 1 Tbsp
    each prepared mustard and worcestershire sauce
  • 2
    9 inch pie crusts store-bought or homemade
  • 6 Tbsp
    shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 lg
    egg
  • 1 Tbsp
    water

How To Make beer cheeseburger hand pies

    For the filling Brown the beef with the onion and garlic. Pour in the beer and let most evaporate. Drain. Add the ketchup, mustard, relish, and Worcestershire Sauce.

    To Assemble pies Roll out dough and cut into 6 triangles. 3 will be for the bottom and 3 for the top. Repeat with the other pie of dough.

    Preheat oven 400 degrees. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Mix the egg and water together.

    Place 1 tbsp cheese on 6 triangles. Top with some beef filling. Brush the edges of the other 6 triangles with egg wash. Place the top over each filling. Press edges together.

    Brush all 6 pies with egg wash. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.
