  • THE CHICKEN
  • 1/4 c
    canola oil
  • 1/4 c
    fresh lemon juice
  • 3 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    ground cumin
  • 1 tsp
    ground corriander
  • 1/4 tsp
    ground pepper
  • 1/2 tsp
    turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp
    ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp
    cayenne pepper
  • 2 lb
    boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • THE YOGURT SAUCE
  • 1/2 c
    greek yogurt
  • 2 Tbsp
    fresh lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp
    extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 clove
    garlic, minced
  • salt to taste
  • TO SERVE
  • 6
    pita rounds, warmed
  • chopped lettuce
  • thinly sliced tomato
  • sliced dill pickles or sliced cucumbers

How To Make air fryer chicken shwarama

    Trim chicken thighs and slice into strips.

    In a large bowl, whisk together canola oil, lemon juice, garlic, and spices. Add chicken and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least several hours and up to overnight.

    Next, in a small bowl, whisk together yogurt, lemon juice, oil, and garlic. Season with salt. Refrigerate until ready to use.
