Ingredients For slow cooker sweet and sour ribs

  • 2 lb
    spare ribs cut in half or cut into chunks
  • 1 md
    onion cut into wedges
  • 1/4 c
    flour
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    shaoxing wine or dry sherry
  • 2 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 1/3 c
    chinese black vinegar
  • 2 tsp
    grated ginger
  • 4 clove
    garlic minced
  • 2 Tbsp
    tomato paste
  • 1/2 c
    water

How To Make slow cooker sweet and sour ribs

  • 1
    Place the spare ribs in a large slow cooker. Add the onion wedges around the ribs.

    In a saucepan combine the remaining ingredients over med high heat. Whisk until thickened.

    Pour the sauce over the spare ribs in the slow cooker. Cook on low for 8 to 9 hours. Stirring occasionally .
