My Mom has made this since I was a kid. I made it lower fat. * I save the other 1/2 of the soup for another recipe. I freeze it in a container or plastic freezer bag.

Ingredients For ya'll southern casserole pork chops

1 packagepork loin chops (not thin, at least 4)

1 smallonion , chopped

1/2 cancream of mushroom soup, fat-free, lower salt

1/2 cancream of celery soup

1 tspgarlic powder
-
4-5baking potatoes
-
1 cuplower fat colby/longhorn cheese (usually use 2%)

1 tspolive oil, light
How To Make ya'll southern casserole pork chops

1Preheat oven to 350'. Cut up potatoes and onions and cook until almost done. Drain. Sprinkle garlic powder on meat. Brown chops in oil on each side. In a pyrex or casserole dish layer potatoes, onions and soups. Add meat on top. Cover and cook at 350' for 45 minutes to one hour until done.I add the cheese and put it back in the oven just to melt. Serve.
