Ingredients For winter squash chili

1 lgonion, chopped

1green pepper, chopped
-
1sweet yellow pepper, chopped

1 Tbspolive oil
-
4 clovegarlic, minced
-
1 lbground saussage
-
1 lbwinter squash, peeled, seeded, chopped

1 can(14-1/2 oz.) diced tomatoes, undrained

4-1/2 tspchili powder
-
1/4 tspsalt
-
1/4 tsppepper
-
for toppings: shredded cheese, chopped green onion, sour cream
How To Make winter squash chili

1Saute onion and peppers in oil until tender. Add garlic and cook one more minute.

2Crumble saussage into onion mixture and cook until no longer pink.

3Transfer to a slow cooker. Stir in winter squash, tomatoes, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Cover and cook on low for 7 to 9 hours.

4Serve with toppings of choice.
