I started out to make Parmesan crusted pork chops but quickly realized I didn't have enough Parmesan. So I invented as I went along, trying for something a little different. Well, my dinner guest pronounced them the BEST pork chops I had ever made! These will definitely be repeated. 12-27-2018

Ingredients For what a pork chop!

  • 4 md
    boneless pork chops, 1/2 inch thick
  • 1 Tbsp
    oil
  • all purpose flour to cover chops on both sides
  • 1 lg
    egg, beaten
  • 1/2-3/4 c
    panko bread crumbs
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp
    ground sage
  • 1 c
    low sodium chicken broth
  • 1/2 c
    heavy cream

How To Make what a pork chop!

    Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat.
  • 2
    Season chops on both sides with salt, pepper and sage.
  • 3
    Dredge pork chops in all purpose flour, then dip into egg until coated on both sides.

    Roll pork chops in Panko bread crumbs until lightly covered.
  • 5
    Place chops in hot oil and brown on both sides, turning once.

    In a small bowl, mix together chicken broth and heavy cream. Pour over browned chops.

    Bring mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to simmer or low, cover and set timer for 1 hour to 1 hour, 15 minutes, or until chops are fork tender.

    Serve with rice, mashed potatoes, noodles, your choice. Spoon sauce over all.
