When it gets Fall time it's Turnip Green and Mustard time. Here is a little twist. Serve with corn bread made with yellow corn meal.

Ingredients For turnip green (or mustard) soup

2 lgonions, chopped

2 lgcans turnip greens or mustard greens

2 can15 oz navy beans

1 lgpotato, peeled and diced

1 Tbspsugar

2 csliced smoked sausage or chopped cooked ham

1 can4.5 oz chopped green chiles

How To Make turnip green (or mustard) soup

1Combine all ingredients in a Dutch oven, add enough water to cover. Bring to a boil then turn down to med/ low, cover and Cook 45 minutes. May add a little more water to thin. Serve with corn bread.
