Everyone loves the Ham with the pineapple rings with the Cherries. But take those flavors and turn up the volume with other Tropical flavors and spices. And you have some of the Best and unique flavors of Ham you will ever experience! I have this simmering in the Slow Cooker now, and It is filling up the Apartment with Cinnamony, Vanilla-y goodness! I hope you give this a try!!! :)

Ingredients For tropical ham steaks

  • 6
    ham steaks (precooked, about an inch thick)
  • 1 can
    pineapple rings with juice
  • Small dash
    pure vanilla extract
  • pinch
    cinnamon
  • Few pinch
    ground black pepper
  • 1/2 c
    orange juice
  • 1/2 tsp
    corn starch
  • dash
    kitchen bouquet (darkening sauce)
  • 1 Tbsp
    corn starch

How To Make tropical ham steaks

  • 1
    Combine, Pineapple, Vanilla, Cinnamon, Black pepper, Orange juice, Kitchen Bouquet and Corn starch. and mix until thoroughly combined
  • 2
    Pour into Crockpot. making sure the pineapple is at the bottom of the slow cooker and place in Ham steaks

    Turn on high, and cook for 2 hourse
