It is called "toad in the hole" because it looks like a toad sticking its little head out of its hole...when the sausage cooks, it pokes its "head" out of the batter

    pork sausage links
  • 1 Tbsp
    vegetable oil
  • 2 c
    flour
  • 4
    eggs
  • 1 c
    milk
  • salt and pepper

How To Make toad in hole ( british recipe )

    Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

    Pour oil in bottom of baking dish.and arrange the sausages in a single layer. Bake for 10 min

    In a medium bowl whisk together flour,eggs,milk until smooth.

    Remove the sausage from oven.Ladle batter over sausages.Return to oven bake for 35 min.Or until the center is risen and brown. If the underside is a little soft Don't Worry as this normal. Enjoy
