I make this often for big dinners. It fills the house with a great aroma!

Blue Ribbon Recipe

Yum! This ham recipe will be delicious on your holiday table (or for any dinner, really). The ham is sweet with a very slight tang and a bite from the Dijon mustard. Once baked, it's sugary, sticky perfection. Scoring the ham allows all the yumminess to get down into the hash marks.

    1
    Heat oven to 325 degrees.
  • Scoring the ham.
    2
Score ham with diagonal lines about 1/4 inch deep to achieve a diamond pattern. Place fat side up in a shallow roasting pan lined with aluminum foil for fast clean-up. Bake 30 minutes.
  • Brown sugar, maple syrup, and Dijon mustard mixed together.
    3
Combine brown sugar, syrup, and mustard.
  • Mustard mixture brushed on the ham.
    4
Brush mixture on ham. Return to oven and bake another 30 minutes.
  • Continuing to brush the ham with the glaze.
    5
Brush again with juices. Bake another 20 minutes or until 140 degrees internal temperature. Remove ham from the oven and let it rest for 20 minutes. Slice and serve.
