Ingredients For taiwanese noodles with meat sauce

  • 8 oz
    rice noodles
  • 1/2 c
    chicken broth
  • 2 Tbsp
    oyster sauce or dark soy sauce
  • 1 tsp
    regular soy sauce
  • 1 tsp
    chinese black vinegar
  • 1 tsp
    chinese 5 spice powder
  • 1/4 c
    brown sugar
  • 2 tsp
    olive oil
  • 2
    shallots chopped
  • 4 clove
    garlic minced
  • 1 lb
    ground pork
  • 4 oz
    shiitake mushrooms chopped
  • 2 stalk
    green onion chopped

How To Make taiwanese noodles with meat sauce

    Cook the noodles according to package directions drain and set aside.

    In a small bowl combine the chicken broth, oyster sauce, regular soy sauce, vinegar, five spice powder and brown sugar. Set aside.

    In a large skillet heat oil. Add the shallots and garlic and cook 2 minutes. Add the ground pork and cook until almost done. Add the mushrooms. Pour the broth sauce mixture in and simmer for 3 minutes. Add the noodles and serve garnished with green onions.
