Pork Chops with a oriental flavor. Nice served with rice and a green vegetable. I like Steamed Ginger Broccoli that I have already posted.

Ingredients For sweet chops

4pork chops, center cut

1 Tbspcanola oil

1 clovegarlic, minced

1 Tbspfresh ginger, minced
- SAUCE

2 tspcanola oil

4 Tbsprice wine

4 Tbspsoy sauce
-
2 Tbspbrown sugar
-
1/4 tspcrushed red pepper flakes

2 tspcornstarch
-
2 Tbspwater
How To Make sweet chops

1Heat oil in skillet. Saute` chops with garlic and ginger in oil, turning to brown both sides.

2SAUCE: To make sauce, combine oil, rice wine, soy sauce, brown sugar and red pepper flakes.

3Pour over chops in skillet and cover tightly. Simmer over low heat until chops are tender and cooked through; 30-35 minutes.

4Add water as needed to keep sauce from cooking down too much.

5Remove chops from skillet to serving platter. Stir in cornstarch dissolved in water. Cook until thickened. Pour over chops and serve.
