Ingredients For sweet and sour pork meatballs
- FOR MEATBALLS:

1 lbground pork

1egg, beaten

2 Tbspcorn starch

1 tspsalt

¼ tsppepper

1 tspsoy sauce

1 tspgrated ginger
-
½ tsproasted garlic powder

½ tspsesame oil

1scallion, chopped
-
3 Tbspvegetable oil + 1 tbsp for rolling the meatballs
- FOR SWEET AND SOUR SAUCE :

¼ cketchup
-
1 Tbspgrape jelly
-
2 tsppineapple preserves
-
2 tspoyster sauce
-
1 Tbspsugar
-
2 Tbsprice vinegar
-
1 tspworcestershire sauce
-
½ cchicken stock, no salt
-
2 clovegarlic, minced
How To Make sweet and sour pork meatballs

1Meatballs: Combine all meatball ingredients (except vegetable oil) in a medium bowl. Sauce: In separate bowl, mix all the sauce ingredients, set a side.

2Place 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a small condiment bowl. Lightly oil your both hand as needed and use a tablespoon measurement to scoop the meat. Shape the meat into rounds (meatballs) and place in a sheet pan.

3Heat 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large non stick saute pan over medium heat. Add meatballs and cook until golden brown all sides. Remove from the pan and drain on a plate lined with paper towel.

4Cook minced garlic in the pan for 15 seconds and add sauce mixture. Turn the heat down to low and add meatballs. Cover the saute pan and let the meatballs steamed and the sauce is thickened for 5 minutes.

5Uncover the pan and turn the heat up to medium heat. Simmer the sauce and stir until the sauce covering the meatballs. Turn the heat off and serve.
