These Swedish meat balls are delicious! Don't let the amount of ingredients intimidate you they're not that hard to follow these steps. I serve these over top of buttered egg noodles. The picture was taken with the left overs because I forgot to take a picture before we settled down for dinner , so sorry the picture isn't the best ...LOL

Ingredients For swedish meat balls

2eggs ; beaten
-
1/2 cmilk
-
2 cdried bread crumbs
-
2 tspsea salt
-
1/2 tsppepper
-
1 1/2 tspdill weed
-
1/4 tspground allspice
-
1/4 tspground nutmeg
-
1 cchopped onion
-
2 Tbspbutter
-
2 lbground beef
-
1/2 lbground pork
- SAUCE
-
1/4 cbutter
-
1/2 cflour
-
2 can(14.5oz ea.) beef broth
-
1 ptheavy whipping cream
-
1/2 tspdill weed
-
1/2 tspsalt
-
1/4 tsppepper
How To Make swedish meat balls

1In a large mixing bowl combine: eggs,milk,bread crumbs and seasonings ; set aside

2in a skillet saute onions in butter until soft ; Add to egg mixture ; crumble beef and pork over mixture and mix in well.Cover and refrigerate for 1 hr.

3Shape meat mixture into 1-1/2" balls , place on baking sheet. Bake uncovered 350 deg. for 25-30 min. Remove from oven an place in 3 Qt. casserole dish.

4For Sauce: melt butter in sauce pan , stir in flour to make a soft paste , Gradually stir in broth and bring to a boil ; stirring constantly.

5Reduce heat and stir in cream , dill , salt and pepper. If a thicker sauce is desired continue to cook for 10-15 min. longer,stirring occasionally.

6Pour over meat balls ; Bake uncovered for 40-45 minutes or until heated through and bubbly.
