There are so many ways to prepare this. You can use bread stuffing or pork sausage stuffing. I prefer seasoned bread stuffing, as stuffing pork with more pork would be too over the top for me.

Ingredients For stuffed pork chops

  • 2 c
    prepared stuffing mix
  • 1 lg
    apple, cored and peeled
  • 1 c
    + 3 Tbsp water, divided
  • 1 c
    slivered almonds, plus additional for garnish
  • 4
    boneless thick-cut pork chops
  • 2 lg
    eggs, beaten
  • 2 Tbsp
    cooking oil
  • 1 tsp
    beef bouillon, powder or granulated form

How To Make stuffed pork chops

    Prepare the stuffing according to the directions on the box.

    Dice the apple.
  • 3
    Place the apple in a microwave-safe bowl. Add 3 Tbsp water. Microwave for 5 minutes or until semi-tender.

    Add apple and 1/2 cup of almonds to the prepared stuffing.

    With a sharp knife, form a pocket in the meat by cutting horizontally through each chop 3/4 of the way through.

    Dip chops in eggs.

    Add oil to a skillet. Over medium heat, fry chops for five minutes on each side until browned turning once. Slightly cool the pork chops. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.

    After cooling, mix beef bouillon with 1 cup water.

    Stuff chops with the almond apple stuffing mixture. Arrange stuffed pork chops in a baking dish.

    Pour bouillon mix over the pork chops. Cover with foil. Bake at 325 degrees F for 1 hour.

    Garnish with the remaining slivered almonds.
