This is one of my families favorite recipes for beans. I got the recipe from a flyer a few years ago.

Ingredients For slow cooker chalupa

  • 1 lb
    dry pinto beans
  • 3 lb
    pork roast
  • 2 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp
    cumin
  • 1 Tbsp
    oregano, dried
  • 2 Tbsp
    chili powder
  • salt or to taste
  • 4 oz
    canned green chilies, chopped
  • water

How To Make slow cooker chalupa

  • 1
    Cover bean with water and soak overnight.
  • 2
    Place roast in slow cooker. Add rest of the ingredients--including the beans and their soaking water, add more water to cover ingredients.

    Cook on high 1 hour, then 6 hours on low.
  • 4
    Remove meat and shred--return to cooker and cook 1 more hour.
