I got this recipe off of Paula Dean's show on the Food Network. It is quick and simple and has a wonderful flavor~

Ingredients For shrimp & sausage jambalya mix

1 clong grain rice (raw)

3 Tbspdried minced onions
-
1 Tbspdried parsley flakes

1 Tbspbeef bouillon granules
-
1/2 tspdried thyme leaves

1/2 tspgarlic powder
-
1/4 tspblack pepper
-
1/4 tspcayenne pepper

1/4 tspsalt
-
1bay leaf
-
jambalya mix from above
-
21/2 cwater
-
1 canpetite cut tomatoes
-
8 oztomato sauce
-
1/2lb. sausage-sliced
-
1lb. raw shrimp
How To Make shrimp & sausage jambalya mix

1Combine first 10 ingredients in a ziplock bag...shake to mix well. You can give as gift with recipe below or use, or store for a later date to make the Jambalya~

2TO MAKE JAMBALYA:

3In a Dutch Oven pot; combine all ingredients except shrimp. bring to a boil. Cover, lower temperature, simmer 20 minutes.

4Add shrimp, stir well, cook over medium heat for about 8 minutes until shrimp are pink and done. Stirring to make sure it doesn't stick.

5Let sit a little bit to absorb the liquid~
