sausage, sauerkraut, and veggies
When the weather isn't good for grilling out, here's a different way to cook your brats. I served mine with left-over hashbrowns.

Ingredients For sausage, sauerkraut, and veggies

8 ozbratwurst (about 2 links)

1/2 cchopped onion

1/2 cchopped red pepper (any color pepper is ok)

1 mdzucchini
-
1/4 tspItalian seasoning

2 csauerkraut
-
6 ozbeer, optional
-
salt and pepper to taste

1/4 - 1/2 cshredded cheese, optional
How To Make sausage, sauerkraut, and veggies

1Remove the casing from the brats. Add to a medium-hot cast iron pan and break the sausage up into pieces. Add onion and pepper and cook together with sausage until the meat is somewhat browned and the onion is transluscent.

2Add sliced zucchini and continue cooking the meat and veggies. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning.

3Stir in sauerkraut and add beer, if using. Simmer for about 15 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese, if using, before serving.
