Grandma thought of this supper as a treat. She loved sauerkraut and sometimes made her own.

Ingredients For sausage and sauerkraut supper

  • 1 lb
    smoked sausage (use low fat sausage for heart healthy eating)
  • 1 jar
    sauerkraut (32 ounces)
  • 2 c
    sliced potatoes
  • 1
    thinly sliced onion

How To Make sausage and sauerkraut supper

  • 1
    Place sauerkraut in bottom of a large casserole dish. Top with onions and potatoes. Cut sausage into serving sized pieces. Place on top of casserole. Cover dish and bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour or until potatoes are tender and done.
