Everyone who has tried this really liked it. It can be served as a main dish with vegetables or it is really good as a meal by itself with bread and butter.

Ingredients For sausage and rice casserole

  • 1 lb
    fresh ground sausage
  • 1 c
    uncooked rice
  • 1 can
    beef consomme
  • 1 can
    french onion soup
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter, cold

How To Make sausage and rice casserole

    Preheat oven to 375 Put butter in casserole dish in preheating oven to be melting.

    Brown & drain sausage
  • 3
    Once the sausage is browned, carefully get the casserole dish with the melted butter out of the oven.

    Put sausage, uncooked rice, consomme and french onion in the casserole dish. Place in the oven and cook 45 mins or so until the rice is cooked. Serve and enjoy!
