I found this recipe in a box of recipes that my Dad had been collecting. He is were I got my recipe collecting passion from. I love this recipe, with its sweet and salty glaze.

1 Tbspoil

1 cloveminced garlic
- SAUCE

2 tspoil

4 Tbspdry sherry

4 Tbspsoy sauce
-
2 Tbspbrown sugar

1/8 tspcrushed red pepper

2 tspcornstarch
-
2 Tbspwater
How To Make san francisco pork chops

1Heat oil in skillet, brown chops on both sides.

2Remove chops from pan and add a little more oil if needed. Saute garlic for a minute until brown.

3Combine oil, sherry, soy sauce, brown sugar and red pepper. Place pork chops into pan and pour sauce over them. Cover tightly.

4Simmer over low heat until chops are tender and cooked through. 30-35 minutes. Add a little water, if needed.

5Remove chops to platter. Stir in cornstarch dissolved in water. Cook until thickened. Pour over chops

6Serve with buttered noodles
