This is a step up from your traditional meatloaf. Ground turkey can be substituted for the beef and pork.

Ingredients For robin's meatloaf

1/2 lbground beef
-
1/2 lbground pork
-
4 ozyellow onions chopped small diced

2 ozgreen bell peppers small diced

2 ozred bell peppers small diced

2 ozyellow bell peppers small diced

2 ozcelery stalk chopped small diced
-
small can evaporated milk
-
1 lgegg
-
salt, pepper, garlic and thyme to taste

1 cantomato paste
-
2 TbspHeinz 57 steak sauce
-
1 TbspWorcestershire sauce
-
2 TbspHoney
-
1 ozoil
How To Make robin's meatloaf

1Add all of the chopped vegetables to a saute pan with oil to caramelize until almost black but not burned and set aside to cool.

2Combine the caramelized vegetable mixture, evaporated milk, seasonings and egg to meat gently. Do not over mix.

3Place meatloaf into a baking dish and cook for 45 minutes until brown.

4In a bowl combine tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, Heinz 57 sauce and honey for topping.

5Top the meatloaf with the sauce mixture during the last 10-15 minutes of cooking. Do not over bake.
