You can make this for breakfast or dinner. This is also a great dish to make ahead, store in the refrigerator and bake the next morning or evening.

Ingredients For rice and sausage casserole

1 boxuncle ben's original recipe wild rice, cooked

1 lbsausage, cooked (i use jimmy deans)

16 ozsour cream
-
1 canwater chestnuts, diced

1 1/4 ccheddar cheese, grated
How To Make rice and sausage casserole

1Combine cooked rice and cooked sausage. Add diced chestnuts.

2Add enough sour cream to make moist. Takes most and sometimes all of it. Mix in most of cheese. Leave some to place on top.

3Pour into a 9x13 baking dish. Bake at 425 degrees 20 to 30 minutes until bubbly.
