Ingredients For red roast pork

  • 1/4 c
    soy sauce, hoisin sauce,honey and shoaxing wine
  • 3 lb
    pork shoulder

How To Make red roast pork

  • 1
    Place all the liquid ingredients in plastic bag. Add the pork to the bag and place in fridge and let marinate 24 to 48 hours. Remove the roast from the fridge one hour before roasting

    Turn the oven on at 275 degrees. Place the roast in a roasting pan. Lay a piece of tin foil over the roast just placing it lightly. Reserve the marinade for basting. Let roast for 4 to 5 hours. Until very tender. You may have to put some water in the bottom of the roaster so the dripping don't burn but it depends on your roaster.

    Baste with the marinate so the outside gets a nice shiny glaze. let rest 20 minutes then carve
